Today’s Dragon is named after one of the best neighbours anyone could ask for. Usually I post drawings from one of my many sketchbooks. This drawing is a little different. Karen and I were invited to a gift exchange with the neighbours. I thought I would include a framed dragon as my gift, so it couldn’t exactly be drawn in a sketchbook.
I looked through my supplies and found some heavy acid free paper with a nice tooth to it. I only wanted a small drawing something easy to frame, so I took a 4 inch by 6 inch piece of paper to draw on. The texture created by the tooth, the way the paper took the pencil, is one of the small things that adds to my love of drawing. Funny that I can get such pleasure out of something so simple. Of course, on the flip side, the result also made it hard to give the drawing away.
So I compromised and had 25 giclee prints made on the same art paper. Perhaps I’ll have to have a give away on here soon!
