Daily Drawing 785 – 793 AD Vikings attack England

Dragon 580 – The Vikings attacked a monastery June 8, 793AD. They would have been there sooner, but they were delayed by an encounter with an amorous sea dragon named Jormungand.

June 8, 793AD marks the first major attack by Vikings on England. They attacked a monastery of Lindisfarne, Northumbria.

I’d like to say things are getting back to normal after the birth of my son Bram…but the other night I got an hour’s sleep between 2 and 3 am, and then two and half hours between 6am and 8:30. So I’m still trying to deal with the lack of sleep. My mother-in-law is heading home today, she has been a godsend while she was here; looking after the little one while we caught up on some sleep. My drawing time may take another hit while we adjust to being on our own again.
