Ah Halloween, I’ve had so much fun over the years_Thorp here goes back quite a few years. To tell the truth, I can’t even remember what year I did this…it may have been 1990 or 1991. This picture was taken over the creek that flowed by the house I grew up in by my sister Barb.
I had only one goal when I started to make this costume, I wanted to have to duck and turn to go through doorways. I could pull a wire and blink the eyes of Thorp. One of his arms had a hole in it at the elbow that I reached through to pull the wire, or manipulate the arm of the dragon on his shoulder. The dragon also had a toy blowout in his mouth with a tube running through his body that allowed me to inflate it from within the Thorp costume.
I won a car the first year I wore this costume at Halloween. A Plymouth Fury. The biggest boat you’d ever see on the road!
