Years ago, a friend of mine was cleaning out the garage of a elderly relative that had passed away. The story as I heard it was that this relative had been an avid artist until one day, roughly 30 years before he died, he decided to stop. He packed up all his art supplies and put them in the garage, and there they sat until they were discovered by the cleaning crew. Knowing my artistic background they asked if I wanted to take the stuff that didn’t contain anything of sentimental value.
Hidden inside an old “Canadian Art” magazine was this amazing little brochure. It’s 10 fantastic pages of “New ways to save time and cut expenses with “Scotch” Cellophane Tape”. 3M spared no expense with the printing, heavy weight paper, stapled binding…all to advertise ‘scotch’ tape!
