On the last day in Whistler, Karen and I did the Peak to Peak ride in the new gondolas. There wasn’t a lot of snow on the top of the mountains, and we didn’t have a lot of time to explore, but the ride in the gondola was worth the trip alone.
If you found yourself thinking about where you were, suspended far above the treetops by a few cables, you could easily get butterflies in your stomach.
A few of the gondolas have a window in the bottom…that pencil-like line through the middle of the image is a dirt road!
In the image below, you can faintly see the tower holding us up near the top of the mountain on the other side of the valley!
I have to say, even with the glass bottom, we felt very safe inside the gondola! I took a lot of pictures in the different gondolas on the ride up the mountain…and back down. But unfortunately most of them have distortions visible from the glass. I still have some to go through, so if I find any more good ones, I will post them!
