The highlight of our Beaune tour was a visit to two of the local wine cellars.
Patriarche, the first wine cellar we went to, is known for having five kilometers of underground passages full of wine.
Once inside Patriarche’s building, one has to go through the chapel to get to the ‘caves’.
There’s a set of stairs in the back of the room that take you down into the cellar…
Yes…these are bottles of wine.
The second wine cellar was Marche Aux Vins, and again, they had amazing cellars right in the heart of the old city.
If you ever find yourself in Beaune, France, I highly recommend a visit to both of these wine cellars!
