Vacation 2012 – Carcassonne II

I absolutely loved walking around the old cities in France, and taking pictures of anything and everything. There was so much to see, everywhere you look there are sculptures and fountains, faces and gargoyles.

Gargoyles are everywhere…some so old that you can’t even tell what they are anymore.

I love this one, mixed in with the human faces…one very monkeyish face.

Though not a gargoyle, this also caught our attention. A small sign on the side of the Basilique St. Nazaire in the old city…naming it as belonging to the Roman Catholic cult.

We had one last stopover in the city of Lyon before flying home out of Paris…so there’s one last set of pictures to come.
